My journey in social care didn't start in an office; it started on the floor as a Bank Care Assistant. I know what it's like to work the long shifts, to navigate person-centred care in real-time, and to feel the weight of responsibility that comes with supporting vulnerable people.
Over nearly two decades, I climbed every rung of the ladder - moving through frontline and management roles into the boardroom as a Director of Operations. I’ve seen our industry from every angle: the exhausting pressures of recruitment, the emotional toll of the COVID pandemic, the anxiety of CQC inspections, and the vital importance of robust governance.
